The world is on its developing brim and is working everyday for a hopeful tomorrow. The 21st Century has turned people centric, socializing and uplifting the deficient. The Lemuriya Foundation was created with the same ideology in 2008 by the Editor in Chief of ‘The Tamil Lemuriya’ Magazine, S. Kumana Rajan as a voluntary organization in the State of Maharashtra.

The Foundation was registered as a Charitable organisation under the Mumbai Public Trust Act, 1950. The Lemuriya Foundation with multi-faceted and a bottom up approach focuses on student evolution, social and economic justice, empowerment of women and children, charity for the elderly, the disabled and the underprivileged sections of the society.

The escalating side of the Foundation aims at inspiring and appreciating Tamil activists who are migrating abroad emphasizing cultural exchange and awarding Tamil students for implanting the language alongside soft powering younger generations through music, art, drama, culture and literature.

From the benefitting and supportive faction of the Foundation, students from Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have been at the receiving end. While Mumbai has been a forebearer of food, medicinal and educational assistance during times of crisis and anthropocentric disasters.

With humanitarian support and a sole pledge toward an enabling society the Foundation has spent over two crore rupee for welfare and security measures. For those believing in giving more towards community service are those who find meaning not in one but multiple lives and the Foundation looks up towards it.

இலெமுரியா அறக்கட்டளை 2008 ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ் இலெமுரியா முதன்மை ஆசிரியர் “தமிழ் நேயர்” சு. குமணராசன் அவர்களால் தொடங்கப் பெற்று 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலத்தில் ஓர் தன்னார்வத் தொண்டு நிறுவனமாக மும்பை பொது அறக்கட்டளை விதிகள் 1950ன் கீழ் பதிவு செய்யப் பட்ட நிறுவனமாகும்.

இலெமுரியா அறக்கட்டளை மாணவர்களின் கல்வி வளர்ச்சி, சமுக நீதி, பெண்களுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தல், முதியோர்கள், மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் மற்றும் நலிந்த பிரிவு மக்களுக்கு தொண்டு செய்தல் என பல்முனை நோக்கங்களை முதன்மையாக கொண்டு இயங்கி வரும் அமைப்பாகும்.

வெளிமாநிலங்களில் புலம் பெயர்ந்து தமிழ்ப் பணியாற்றி வரும் ஆர்வலர்களை ஊக்கப் படுத்திப் பாராட்டி விருது வழங்குதல், தமிழ் மாணவர்கள், தாய்மொழிக் கல்வி பெறும் மாணவர்களை ஊக்கமளித்து விருதுகள் அளித்தல், தமிழின மொழி பண்பாட்டுக் கூறுகளை இயல், இசை, நாடகம் வழியாக இளைய தலைமுறையினருக்கு கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் தமிழப் பணியினையும் செய்து வருகின்றது.

இதுகாறும் மகாராட்டிரா, தமிழ் நாடு உள்ளிட்ட மாணவர்கள் பெரும் பான்மை மாணவர்கள் பயன் பெற்றுள்ளனர். மனித நேய உணர்வுடன் பேரிடர் காலங்களில் வாழ்வாதாரச் சிக்கல் ஏற்படும் மக்களுக்கு உணவு, மருந்து மற்றும் கல்வி உதவ அளித்து துணை நிற்பதில் மும்பையின் முன்ணனி அமைப்பாகச் செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது.

இது காறும் மக்கள் நலப் பணிகளுக்காகவும், தமிழ் வளர்ச்சிக்காகவும் சற்றொப்ப இரண்டு கோடி ரூபாய் அளவுக்கு பணி செய்துள்ளது. இந்த அமைப்பின் செயல்பாடுகளுக்கு நல் உள்ளம் படைத்த மனித நேயப் பற்றாளர்கள் துணை நிற்கின்றனர்.
