A moment of Deed and Gratitude Alt

Before anything and any plans in my mind I saw this video clipping sent to me by Mr. Govindan Sevan, a photographer of the Dinakaran Daily Mumbai and an audio clipping on my WhatsApp from a boy who was on foot walking from Yavatmal to Tamil Nadu and intercepted by police near Nanded interior Maharashtra. These video and audio’s where a family from Tamil Nadu selling idlis in Mumbai for a living and about 80 boys who were stranded on road due to the sudden COVID 19 crisis and lockdown announcement.

Their cries and hues for survival and their helplessness was the initial trigger factor that has brought this MISSION COVID 19 HEALING to a moralistic turn. The way this mission was planned inorder to reachout over 6000 families in crisis and distress has finally been done as it was set.
The first phase started with distribution of food grains for about 5,400 kgs on 12th April 2020 and arranging shelter and food for those boys stranded at Nanded, onwards which continued by the second phase with 27,400 kgs and the third phase with 26,160 kgs. The fourth and fifth phase commenced with grains worth 41, 640 kgs until 4th May, 2020 making it to over One lakh kgs today.

This covers areas in Ambernath, Andheri, Reay Road, Malad, Thane, Anand nagar, kopri, Subhash Nagar, Kisan Nagar, Sewree, Worli, Dharavi, ML Camp, Goregaon, Kandivili, Aarey Colony, Colaba, Chembur, Nalasopara, Sion, JVLR, Bhandup, Cheeta camp, Mahul Chembur and making it to almost every part of Mumbai right from Colaba to Ambernath and Kandivli wherever help was called for.

Part of this continues with our commitment of daily supply of another 500 lunch packets in Dharavi, the worst affected area of Mumbai until the lockdown ends.

This mission was led through with integral support from Dr. Anbalagan IAS, Dr. N. Ramaswamy IAS, Mr. Jayakumar IPS, Mr Rajesh Kanna, Densingh Arokyadas, Jebastian, Capt Ramachandran, Dombivli Tamil Makkal Sangam, Manghatram Ramachandran to name few and immense cooperation from the Coordinators, Logistics, Supply Team, Distributing team, Volunteers and every person who helped make this mission a home for the needy.

This is my gratitude to each one who belived helping is nothing more than a means to keep the world upright tight and fight this crisis. This makes MISSION COVID 19 HEALING reach out foodgrains worth One Lakh kgs to over six thousand families and more than 50,000 People in this Metropolitan City of Mumbai & suburbs and turned this hard time a means to people and made this land their home.

Crisis certainly comes unsaid but social responsibility and a moral obligation to keep each one warm and safe is what humanity asks for in this 21st Century.

While we are in this together, let’s never turn away from our societal duties and make this world a better place even throughout hardships.

Let us fight this pandemic unitedly and see the rays of rejuvenation and hope in every human face in the world!
